This principle stems from the core philosophy that every home should reflect and respond to a unique combination of three elements (individual/family, environment, and law)—a combination that can never be replicated.

 

Custom design is derived from an understanding of the client’s preferences and circumstances—including their family members, background, living habits, budget, etc.

Each house is considered within its unique environment and context—including lot size, shape, topography, boundaries, orientation toward the environment (sun, wind), utilities, etc.—characteristics that vary distinctly from lot to lot.

All of these are also considered within the limits of local jurisdictions and bylaws, resulting in a unique outcome to account for allowable coverage area, dimensions, setbacks,

ingress, egress, etc.

 

Gradient’s unique houses blend seamlessly within a neighborhood, simultaneously standing out with inimitable, elegant facades. On the inside, each house includes one-of –a-kind flow of spaces that is functional and allows for easy movement between spaces  both horizontally within a floor and vertically between upper and lower floors.

While employing traditional building techniques and cognizant of the cost impact on any project, Gradient often breaks the solid square walls with a curve wave of walls to soften the feeling of the living space and make it more enjoyable and free place of abode.
